Description: Redmond died of wounds on 7 June 1917 and was buried in Locre cemetery. The film shows the deputation from Ireland visiting his grave which is tended by nuns and has been extremely highly decorated for the ceremony. The members of the deputation are Dr James Ashe, Mayor Nicholas Byrne of Wexford and High Sheriff Myles Keogh of Dublin. Also present are officers of 36th (Ulster) Division, 16th (Irish) Division, and French, Belgian and American representatives. Dr Ashe places a piece of Irish soil on the grave and gives a speech (there is no indication of the words). The delegates shake hands with the foreign representatives as they leave.
